If you’ve been in the health world long enough, I’m sure you’ve heard of the amazing benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar.

So, I’m here to let you know if it actually lives up to the hype.

Short Answer – Yes, absolutely!

Here’s why…

(watch video below for my simple Apple Cider Vinegar co*cktail)

The acetic acid in apple cider vinegar is one of the main reasons why it’s so effective not only with weight loss but with your overall health.

Apple Cider Vinegar is great to drink before meals because studies have shown that it helps to promote steady blood sugar levels.

Anytime we can avoid major blood sugar spikes, it’s a good thing! When your blood sugar spikes, you can rest assure that it’ll eventually drop. And, when it drops, you’ll want to reach for the nearest carb-rich or sugar treat for energy.

Ladies – it’s usually the term we’ve so accurately coined – HANGRY! 😉

Then, your body gets into this vicious cycle of spiking your blood sugar followed by a crash, which will eventually lead to weight gain.

So, anytime you can avoid major blood sugar spikes, it’s a good thing, especially for weight loss. Apple cider vinegar has shown to promote steady blood sugar levels, especially when consuming it before meals.

In the presence of too much insulin, your body switches from fat-burning mode to fat-storing mode.

When insulin levels are low, it encourages your body to use stored fat as energy. This is obviously a good thing if you’re trying to lose weight.

Well, because apple cider vinegar helps to promote steady blood sugar levels, it also helps to keep insulin levels in check as a result.

Studies have shown that apple cider vinegar improves insulin sensitivity after a high carbohydrate meal by 19-34%.

Of course, I recommend my personal clients to combine the use of apple cider vinegar along with a low-moderate carb diet free from processed grains and refined sugars.

And, I can’t even begin to tell you how much they approve just from these two things. It’s absolutely amazing the results they see not only with weight loss results but also in their overall health.

Another reason why apple cider vinegar is great for weight loss is because it makes you feel more full and helps to control appetite.

So, go ahead and throw away all of those diet pills you’ve tried for appetite control because apple cider vinegar works just as good (and it’s cheaper…yay!).

If you suffer from edema, then you could definitely benefit from using apple cider vinegar.

One major reason for edema is a potassium deficiency. Apple cider vinegar helps to replenish your potassium and, as a result, also helps to balance out sodium levels.

When proper potassium levels are restored in the body, it then allows the body to release any excess water being stored in the cells.

This is great for weight loss because water retention can account for an extra 5-15+ pounds in some people.

It’s very important to use an apple cider vinegar that’s organic & unpasteurized with the ‘mother.’

This means that the nutrition in the apple cider vinegar hasn’t been destroyed with high levels of heat. Additionally, the ‘mother’ contains enzymes and friendly bacteria, which also contributes to the many health benefits of apple cider vinegar.

I recommend drinking my simple apple cider vinegar co*cktail (recipe below) before each main meal for maximum weight loss results.

The reason for this is because the apple cider vinegar will increase your digestive juices, which will help you to break down your food better and allow for better nutrient absorption from your foods.

Plus, it’ll help to promote steady blood sugar and insulin levels after your meals (as discussed above).
