The Athlete of the Week voting occurs each week during high school sports competition and recognizes athletes across all sports.

Athletes were nominated over the past few weeks for the vote starting Monday, Aug. 21.
Please do not email your votes; they will not count. Nominations and votes are not the same things.

High school sports:2022-23 Athletes of the week
Once athletes win during the regular season, they're not eligible to be back on the ballot until the postseason. If athletes haven't won in the regular season, they can be nominated more than once.
The Dispatch staff reserves the right to remove ballots or athletes from the ballot where voting irregularities have occurred.

Here are this week's Athlete of the Week candidates:
Brayden Bayles, Heath football: Completed 15 of 20 passes for 293 yards and three touchdowns and ran for 67 yards and a TD in a 48-0 win over Liberty Union.
Isaiah Bowers, Thomas Worthington football: Rushed 156 yards and two touchdowns on 25 carries in a 27-26 win over Beechcroft.
Taizaun Burns, East football: Rushed for 245 yards and two touchdowns on 21 carries and passed for another score in a 36-6 win over Dayton Meadowdale.
Keegan Conley, Dublin Jerome soccer: Had two assists in a 3-0 win over Mason.
Bracen Davis, East Knox football: Ran for 194 yards and two touchdowns on 34 carries in a 14-0 win over Northridge.
Levi Davis, Olentangy Orange: Completed 25 of 35 passes for 272 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 64 yards and three touchdowns on 12 carries in a 42-35 win over West Clermont.
Olivia Dickson, Utica golf: Shot a personal-best 72 at The Links at Echo Springs.
Zoe Gravitt, Granville field hockey: Scored three goals in a 6-0 field win over Olentangy Berlin.
Jaystin Gwinn, Westerville Central football: Rushed for 135 yards on 20 carries and a touchdown in a 21-12 loss to Westerville North.
Myles Harrison, Pickerington Central football: Had three sacks in a 28-17 win over Olentangy Liberty.
Preston Harrison, Olentangy football: Had a touchdown, a two-point conversion and two tackles for loss in a 46-35 win over Toledo Whitmer.
Mikey Hess, Newark Catholic football: Rushed 12 times for 105 yards and made seven tackles in a 53-21 loss to Ready.
Robert Lathon, Hartley football: Rushed for 144 yards and a touchdown in a 21-19 win over Big Walnut.
Kaynen Lindsey, Johnstown football: Had 28 carries for 151 yards and two touchdowns in a 26-22 loss to Licking Heights
Jake Lopinto , Licking Heights football: Had eight carries for 73 yards and a touchdown and four catches for 99 yards in a 26-22 win over Johnstown.
Josie Lynch, Lakewood volleyball: Had 35 assists in matches against West Muskingum and Fairfield Union.
Matthew Papas, Grove City football: Completed 21 of 30 passes for 357 yards and four touchdowns in a 59-20 win over Dublin Scioto.
Bella Reynard, Licking Valley soccer: Had six goals during her team’s 3-0 start.
Kentrell Rinehart, Ready football: Rushed for 387 yards and six touchdowns in a 53-21 win over Newark Catholic.
Caroline Robertson, Heath volleyball: Had 17 digs in a loss to Meadowbrook.
Charlie Saas, St. Charles soccer: Scored with 2 seconds remaining in a 1-0 victory over Dublin Coffman.
Parker Toadvine, Grove City football: Had five catches for 100 yards and a touchdown in a 59-20 win over Dublin Scioto.
Riley Wheeler, Northridge: Had 11 tackles, including two for loss, in a 14-0 loss to East Knox.
Avery Williams, Licking Valley soccer: Had four goals and two assists in a 7-2 victory over Morgan.
