Frequently Asked Questions about Fishing Charters in Panama City Beach
Fishing in Panama City Beach
There are plenty of reasons why thousands of tourists return to PCB every year, and angling is one of the biggest. The sandy beaches may set this town apart from its larger neighbor across the bay, but Panama City Beach fishing charters are sure to blow you away, too. From the shallow bays to the deep water offshore, there’s something for everyone here.
The St. Andrews Bay system offers up the largest seagrass bed in the Florida Panhandle, meaning there’s plenty for some hungry fish to feast on. Get ready to come into contact with Redfish, Spotted Seatrout, Flounder, and Sheepshead, along with Pompano, Mackerel, and even Tarpon depending on the time of year.
Head out beyond the bays and the Gulf of Mexico offers up endless rewards. The nearshore reefs are overflowing with delicious Snappers, Groupers, Cobia, and Amberjack, while Mackerel can be found in the open waters. Head out to the deep and you could be trolling for big game creatures such as Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, Tuna, and Billfish, on what promises to be a trip to remember.
If you’ve just got a couple of hours to spare, you can hit the inshore waters for as little or as long as you want. Nearshore adventures will usually last around the 6-hour mark, while you’ll need 10 hours to make the most of the waters offshore. You’ll even find charters taking you out for a couple of days at a time, so come along and realize your fishing fantasies!
Rules & Regulations
Panama City Beach fishing charters come with licenses included for everyone on board, so that’s one less thing to worry about. Your professional guide will also be up-to-date with all the latest seasons and bag and size limits, so you can sit back and enjoy the fishing.
