"My Guys Moving moved my parents, Don & Priscilla, from Warrenton to Gainesville... I have been concerned about the physical and emotional challenges that this move would pose for my parents.

Then my brother, who was with them yesterday, took a video of Javier singing Elvis and playing guitar for my parents... sitting in their chairs in their new living room, smiling and listening to him sing to them.

What a wonderful moment this was for them and for our family. I have never seen a mover go to such lengths to bring happiness to a client. He is a gem and I so appreciate what he did. Thank you so much!"

"I very highly recommend My Guy's Moving and Storage. Their price was competitive with other moving companies. Amongst my furniture being moved was an antique baby grand piano. I was assured that it would be properly handled and stored in a humidity-controlled environment for the 3-4 months it would be in storage. After my furniture was delivered, I had an assessment done of the piano. The technician stated that it was in "good condition considering it being in storage for that length of time." Our move team, Jose G., Josue C., Justin, and Martin, were professional and courteous. Their care in the handling of our furniture, especially the antique baby grand piano, was above and beyond our expectations. “After a horrible experience with another mover who moved our items into storage I chose My Guys Moving after a recommendation from a friend. They were on time, fast, friendly and careful. I had a team of 4 professionals move the items from our storage shed to the apartment. I had to wait almost an hour to get the key and when I returned to the apartment they had been unloading the whole time and putting items into the hallway - I was very happy about that! "I cannot thank this company enough for helping me move!! The guys were an absolute delight to talk to and work with. They packed up my entire apartment which included a dining room table, couch, king size bed, clothes, shoes, purses, jewelry in my walk in closet etc. They broke down and reassembled all of my furniture for me!! "This is the second time I have used My Guys Moving & Storage and absolutely recommend them. The entire process was easy, the prices were very reasonable, the movers were on time,friendly and expedient, and everything went smoothly. The last house I moved into was very difficult to navigate with furniture on an old, small staircase that had a turn and additional steps, but the movers got everything in just fine. Hopefully I will be staying put for a while, but if I need to move in the future, I'm going with My Guys again. It was really nice not having to worry about the move when I had a lot going on!! "Everyone I spoke to and worked with was professional and helpful. My mom had planned to move from one assisted living facility to another in March and we had to put the move on hold when everything shut down because of the pandemic. Rescheduling the move was easy and the movers were very good about working around the constraints at both places. Because I could not help my mom finish packing, they had more packing to do than originally planned (and there was more uncertainty about what would need to be packed) but the movers handled it without missing a beat."

"Our experience was excellent. Our crew arrived on time, they worked very efficiently and yet carefully, they carefully protected the house we were moving out of and the house we were moving into, they took extra care with the special pieces of furniture we pointed out, they cleaned up everything when they left. All our belongings were well taken care of and nothing was broken or scratched. All workers wore masks and were respectful of our health and safety concerns during the COVID-19 pandemic."

"The team showed up a little early but waited until we were ready and got off to a quick start. They worked non-stop for 10 hours other than a short lunch break while traveling between sites. There was no slacking off despite the heat and humidity of the day, except for short periodic water breaks. The team was also able to load some additional items that they dropped off at another location en-route to the new house. They were also very accommodating when relocating furniture into final locations as we made last minute adjustments to room layouts. There was no damage to furniture, walls or flooring during the move. The team and My Guys Moving provided excellent and professional service and their time estimate was spot on."

They had an 8 man team both days. These guys were amazing!! Professional, courteous, careful, and super fast!! Took care to wrap everything. Moved some heavy, heavy furniture with no problem. Even moved my whole gym! The team leaders, Tony and Santo, were tremendous! I opted for extra insurance because we had some expensive furniture. Joey, the sales rep, said I wouldn't need it. I worked in the moving industry during college and I know the abuse that happens sometimes. I've got to say Joey was right. We didn't have a scratch on anything. "I have moved exactly 20 times in my life, and these guys were by far the best. I have some extremely heavy furniture and they carried it up four flights of stairs with ease. They completed the job extremely quickly and efficiently, and when they were complete there wasn't a scratch on any of the furniture or the new house. I was worried that moving would not be possible due to COVID-19, but these guys were fantastic!"

"We used My Guys Moving for an interstate move and could not be more satisfied. Joey Kamide was very friendly and professional and gave us an accurate estimate. We we're downsizing and mentioned what we wanted to keep and what to move which I am sure made his job more difficult. Joey even went out of his way one night after work to bring us boxes so we could begin sorting things before the move. I was also pleasantly surprised how reasonable the cost was. Getting a quote was quick and simple, as was following up a couple times with Tony regarding extra boxes I needed for artwork. On the day of the move, I had Jose and Elder come by to move my stuff from a house in Anacostia to a studio in Columbia Heights. These guys were some of the friendliest people I've ever met, and they did their job so spectacularly thoroughly and quickly, making sure that everything I had would get to my new place in perfect shape.

On the day of the move, Will, Raul and Alex showed up 30 minutes early to make sure they knew where the origin was and planned their parking and walking path accordingly. "We just used "My Guys Moving" and they were fantastic. I actually signed up on Yelp just to give them the review they deserve. They scheduled a free, in-home estimate first (easy and quick, you get the needed advice on how to prepare and can ask questions). Austin was our contact who did the estimate and arranged the move - he was on-time, informative and relaxed (no sales pressure).

The movers arrived on-time the day of the move and padded and wrapped all furniture, lay down protective sheets on the floor and railings, put all hanging clothes and shoes in their own boxes and hung them in place on arrival, got all boxes in the right rooms, got all furniture in the right place. Not everything we had was packed and ready to go (we moved those things ourselves), but they seemed ready to take care of those items, too, if needed. Charges are by the hour and they moved quickly. The team captain was clearly a pro, as was his team of movers. They were tidy and polite. I've never had a move where something wasn't damages until this one.

They offer free boxes at their warehouse leading up to the move and will take used boxes afterward (we haven't used either of these services, however, so I can't speak directly to those experiences).

Note that the price was reasonable for this level of professionalism, but still pretty expensive for the avg household. Ours was around $1200 for a 2 BR / 1000 sq ft apartment in which we moved most of the breakables-computers, tv's, tchotkes, pictures, lamps-as well as quite a few boxes ourselves. But I liked that they were willing to give us the hourly rate option instead of a flat rate so we could make decisions up until the move day regarding what we'd move ourselves. Our main contact was Austin and I recommend asking for him."

Started with an over-the-phone rundown of the details of our move (size of the apt, approx. how many boxes, what kind of furniture, etc.), followed by a very reasonable and competitive rate and cost estimate (compared to other local companies) for the services requested.

Day before the move we got a phone call to confirm all the details. Day of the move was a home run. The truck was loaded in less than an hour, and unloaded (up three stories) in a little over an hour. Including an hour of travel time, the move took 3.5 hours, after an initial estimate of 5.5hrs.

I received a handwritten card from Chris when my house went on the market--a noticable difference from the mass printed postcards other companies sent out. Still, I checked Angie's List and called all of the top-rated companies. When I called My Guys, they had an estimator at my house that afternoon. His estimate was within 30 minutes of the actual time of the move today--no surprises. They followed up with emails and then a confirmation call. On the day of the move, movers got stuck in traffic and called to let me know where they were. Javier and Mario were fabulous. They wrapped and loaded my furniture quickly but carefully.

They were done with my three-story rowhouse in less than two hours. At about noon, My Guys headquarters called me at noon to check on how things were going with the move. Half of my furniture went to storage, the rest to my new condo. Javier and Mario consolidated my things into the storage unit so well that we actually have room to move around and get to frequently used items. When we got to the condo, they were again very efficient and quick, even in small spaces, and there wasn't a second I worried about the newly installed wood floors or newly painted walls. Moving is such a stressful time--but if I had known how great My Guys would be I would not have been so stressed leading up to the move."

“Terrific service, I mean, really terrific. Moving from Winchester to Manassas doesn't seem like a big deal, but when you're as young as I am, you want your move to go without any hitches, and in this case, that's what happened.

I went with these guys as I had heard on radio ads that they were very reliable and other people said that they had good experiences with them. I called them up and was set up with Tony Wilson (great job!) and asked him for a quote, he literally took inventory of everything I told him, he gave me a fair estimate (5 hours of work), and within a week, I decided to go with My Guys. Everything so far was promising.

I then started to hear horror stories of other movers. Movers that have things missing, break things, get to the place late, and movers that are unprofessional. I got nervous again. Hopefully these guys would be true to their word. Not to mention I received my work order in an email, so that was encouraging with the follow through.

Two days before my move, I called My Guys to confirm that they were still coming. They said yes, and reassured me that I was on the schedule, and that I would receive another call later today or the next day to confirm everything. That put me at ease for a bit.

The next day, one day before the move, I received a call in the morning confirming 2 guys were coming. They said they'd try to get there as early as possible (I recommended a 8-9 am start time). Already I was feeling better.

Then came the big day. I was up early, anticipating their arrival. Most, if not all my items were packed and ready to go. I called My Guys one more time after 8 am to confirm the 2 guys were on their way. I was reassured again that 2 guys were on the way, that they left at 7:30 am to head to my place in Winchester (they were coming from Sterling, which is a little over an hour east of Winchester).

Get Free Estimate
At 8:53 am, Jose and Alex, the 2 "guys" arrived. On time, yes, waiting out front. I met them, shook their hands, they looked around, and said they'd take about an hour to get the job done. Throughout the move out process they handled my stuff with care, they were polite, and they were extremely accommodating. By 10:30, my Winchester apartment was completely vacant and I was ready to head to Manassas.

Upon arrival to Manassas at close to noon, I found they had gotten there first (I got stuck in a detour). They even called me to confirm they were at the location! Once I got there they got to work once again, unloading the truck with care and efficiency. They set the apartment up to my liking, and got everything done fairly quickly. By 1:00, they were finished and everything was there. Nothing was lost, broken, or in shabby shape. They even were on par with the time that was allotted! (5 hours).

I couldn't have asked for a better moving company to get me on the fast track to another place. They were truly spectacular and they lived up to their name. Even my parents were thrilled with the results! They were polite to them too, and got everything and did everything with expert precision and effectiveness. I highly recommend these movers to anybody who needs a move, as they definitely eliminate many of the stresses of the move, and make for it to be as stress-free as you can get it. I was kept abreast of all the services your company provides. Although, I did not use all of the options, such as mail forwarding and TV/FIOS, it was good to know that they were available and there if I needed the service.

The Working Crew:
The friendliest organized group of employees I have ever seen. They work well as a team. They share the customers concern and are ready to do what-ever-it-takes to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
