1/7
Kiwame (極) is the further upgraded state that may be achieved through further training of a sword which has satisfied the requirements set.
There are 4 characteristics of Kiwame:
- The sword will gain a new appearance.
- The sword's stats will increase.
- The sword's rarity will increase by 1.
- The sword will gain a new skill, depending on their type.
Swords that have acquired Kiwame status will return to level 1 and their stats will increase as they grow. For swords whose levels are higher than the required level, the experience points gained between their minimum Kiwame level and their current level will pass onto the Kiwame state. Additional experience points accumulated by swords that have reached level 99 will also be passed to the Kiwame state.
Example: If a sword whose Kiwame requirement level is 60 is at level 99, the experience points gained between Levels 60 through 99 will pass on to the Kiwame sword.
Toku will not occur for swords in Kiwame.

New Skills[]
Swords will gain a new skill upon acquiring Kiwame status. The skill is different for each type, and will randomly activate in battle.
- Kiwame Tantou can evade long-range attacks during daytime battles.
- Kiwame Wakizashi can parry attacks during battles.
- Kiwame Uchigatana can cover and block long-range attacks targeted towards any sword right beside them. (Update 2022/06/21: Kiwame Uchigatana can cover any sword on the team regardless of position.)
- Kiwame Ootachi can deal 2x damage.
- Kiwame Yari can attack an enemy 3 times.
- Kiwame Naginata can stun opponents temporarily.
- Kiwame Tachi, when equipped with a horse, may perform a preemptive attack on an enemy prior to the long range phase of battle.
- Preemptive attacks will prioritize targeting enemies with long range equipment. The skill can still activate if no such enemies are present.
- Does not work in maps where horses have no effect.
- No other attack will be performed for the turn where the preemptive attack is activated.
